Pittsburgh’s been busy this year—and not in a loud, flashy way. The cities quietly rolled out some fresh new spots in 2025 that are worth getting off your couch for. Whether you’re into food, cocktails, or just seeing what’s new around town, here’s a list of places I’ve got my eye on (or already visited more than once—no shame). All brand new this year and sorted by neighborhood to make your life easier.

Lawrenceville
Titusz (Coming Late 2025)
If you’ve been looking for something different, Titusz is going to be it. It’s bringing Hungarian food to Lawrenceville, led by Chef Csilla Thackray (formerly of Bar Marco and The Vandal). Expect bold flavors, a cool space, and something you can’t find anywhere else in the city. Definitely one to watch.
Mount Lebanon
1930 by Atria’s
The Atria’s you remember got a full makeover. It’s now a Prohibition-style cocktail bar that nods to the 1930s grocery store roots of the original space. Think speakeasy vibes, elevated cocktails, and a menu that’s nostalgic in the best way. A great date night pick or cozy catch-up spot.
Mount Washington
Shiloh Plate & Pour
Redbeard’s is out, and Shiloh Plate & Pour is in. This spot is giving the Mount Washington crowd something fresh, with an updated menu and a more welcoming vibe. It’s perfect for game days or grabbing dinner before heading to the overlook for those classic skyline views.
Murrysville
Tulum
Tulum is giving tropical energy just outside the city in Murrysville. It’s modern Mexican with a fun, colorful space and some of the best presentation I’ve seen in a while (yes, they serve fajitas in a grilled pineapple—extra in the best way). A little bit of vacation without the plane ticket.
Greenfield
Smashed N’ Fried
Started as a food truck, now it’s here—with a whole vibe. Smashed N’ Fried is doing smash burgers and loaded fries, with nods to Pittsburgh icons like Mac Miller and Wiz Khalifa. The energy’s laid-back and local, and the food hits every single time.
South Side
Nan Xiang
NYC favorite Nan Xiang landed in the South Side this March, and their soup dumplings are legit. If you’ve been craving that perfect, steamy, slurpable bite—you’ve found your spot. The menu’s got depth beyond dumplings too, but let’s be honest: you’re here for the dumplings.
East Liberty (Coming Soon)
Tapville Social
This one’s for the beer and brunch lovers. Tapville Social is bringing a self-pour wall, craft cocktails, and boozy brunch energy to the East End. It’s not open quite yet but keep your eye out—this place is all about food, drinks, and fun without the fuss.
Final Thoughts:
2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Pittsburgh’s food and drink scene, and I’m here for it. Whether you’re catching up with friends, taking yourself on a solo food tour, or just trying to break out of your usual rotation, these spots bring fresh energy to the table—literally.
